Vernon graduated from NAIT’s Telecommunications Technician Apprenticeship Program and holds a Journeyman Ticket. Vernon worked for AGT (Alberta Government Telephones) for several years now known as Telus Communications.
Vernon is very active in the community having served as President of the Sunrise Rotary Club, Assistant Governor for Rotary District, and the President of the International Curling Fellowship for Rotary. Vernon also spent 14 years as the President of Big Brothers Big & Big Sisters of Grande Prairie.
